Consultation
On your first visit to our office in Pearl City you will be welcomed as a member of our family and our receptionist will greet you with a warm smile. You will then be asked to fill out our required forms which will help us gain some information about yourself and your condition.
Typically a consultation will require approximately 10 minutes of your time. During the consultation you will have an opportunity to meet with one of our friendly doctors to discuss your condition, and to answer any questions you may have. The purpose of the consultation is to determine if chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. If your condition can be treated with chiropractic, the doctor will tell you that. If your condition is not a chiropractic condition, the doctor will refer you to another doctor that will be able to help you the most. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent. Examination
Should the doctor determine you are a good candidate for chiropractic care, the doctor will recommend proceeding with a complete chiropractic examination. This will include a postural examination, testing your ability to turn and bend, as well as, other standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and physical examinations. The examination allows the doctor to gain valuable information regarding your condition, and to determine the best course of treatment. If necessary, the doctor may take X-rays, or refer you for additional testing procedures.
X-ray
X-ray is sometimes required to get a full evaluation of a patient. The need for X-ray is considered on a case by case basis.
Report of Findings
After a complete examination, and any x-rays / diagnostic testing are performed, you will be scheduled for a "Report Of Findings". The report of findings will require approximately 20 minutes of your time to review the findings and discuss treatment plan recommendations.
Treatment
Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first adjustment. Chiropractic care places emphsis on restoring proper joint function to reduce nerve irritation, allowing the body to naturally heal itself. Depending on your condition, care will also include at home exercises, nutritional recommendations, massage therapy, and physical therapy. Our special, gentle yet effective, alignment of the body is gentle enough for kids (they love us), yet it is able to restore function and movement for both athletes and senior's alike.
Our office participates in many insurance programs. Additionally, we are providers for both auto and workers' compensation cases.
